A few weeks ago we announced our Bullhorn to Google Indexing module, to automatically add your Bullhorn jobs to the Google Index. It would have been easy to just sit back and admire this great module, but you know us by now, we aren’t content with v1 of a product, we have to take it further.
Our new update now brings 404 error page removal. As jobs are filled and closed down, many of our customers configure our Bullhorn to WordPress Plugin to delete old job pages. A downside to this is that Search Console recognises these deleted pages and lists a 404 error.
Whilst 404’s do not impact on your search engine ranking, they do take up resource and make wading trough your Search Console that much harder.
This is why we took our indexing script another step further. When jobs are removed from your website by our plugin, our Google Indexing module submits a removal request directly to Google.
Wave goodbye to hundreds of job based 404 error pages, and hello to a streamlined search console.
