Bullhorn API Server “API capacity exceeded” Message FIX

Back to Blog

Many Bullhorn WordPress Plugin customers over recent months have been experiencing a new error message of “Server API capacity exceeded”, which then prevents communication between their WordPress based website and the Bullhorn REST API.

This update has been rolling out over the REST API servers affecting more and more customers. Essentially the API update looks for a ‘spike’ in traffic from an account and limits the connection from that account. Every now and again, when our plugin synchronises data between your WordPress website and Bullhorn, the API would consider this as a spike and lock out the account for a while.

Obviously that’s not ideal, we want the synchronisation to complete successfully to ensure your data is correct and up to date.

A new version of the plugin has been created to manage this new REST API error and ensure no data is lost. All customers are encouraged to update to the latest version of our plugin (v2.11.00 at time of writing) to ensure optimal connection to the Bullhorn API.
