An essential update to our Bullhorn to WordPress Plugin has been released to respond to a change within the Bullhorn REST API. We have contacted all customers with information on how to update your WordPress plugin, if you have not received this update email, please contact us.
A few days ago, a customer contacted us describing an issue with the plugin communicating properly with the Bullhorn REST API. All of a sudden their website would not synchronise jobs properly, despite having worked consistently for many years. They had just updated their WordPress version and many plugins, so that seemed the logical place to start our investigations.
After checking this, all seemed good, but the API was still not happy. Luckily here at Bullhorn Plugin, we love a good game of detectives.
Whilst we were looking in to this, over the course of the afternoon, several more customers contacted with the exact same issue.
One of our expert developers found the cause, a small change in the Bullhorn API that our Bullhorn to WordPress Plugin did not recognise. We quickly updated the scripts to recognise this API change and published to the affected customers.
As if by magic, the customer’s Bullhorn integrations came back to life, job data was syncing perfectly with their website again, job and candidate information was posting back in to Bullhorn and all is good with the world (well, our little bubble anyway).
Over the next few days, our inbox was awash with other customers who have been moved over to this API change, but our newly created patch had them back up and running in no time.
The Bullhorn REST API update is still slowly being released, so we sent out today an email to all customers informing them of the issue with info on the simple patching process. If you have not yet moved over to the new API version, this patch will still work great until you do move over, in which case, you are all prepared and nothing will change.
Existing customers, please install this patch as soon as possible, potential customers, see how awesome and reactive we are? Also, if you are hosted with us, we have already updated your plugin 😀 How much did we charge for this patch? Nothing, zilch, nada, f all haha. We provide a lifetime licence and we mean it.
