Herefish is a great online tool letting you set up a whole variety of automations yourself via an online interface. Firstly you select the entity you wish to base the automation on, for example, candidates. You then select the trigger for the automation, for example, ‘new candidate added to Bullhorn’. Finally, what should happen when this new candidate is added to Bullhorn, for example, send them a welcome email.
Herefish Cost: Monthly depending upon the size of your organisation
Herefish Pros: quick and easy to set up automations, manage your automations online, powerful
Herefish Cons: costly, limited by the automations offered, require specific knowledge, can make mistakes if not careful
Our Bullhorn Automation Tool
Automations are created by us, not through an online tool (this is coming soon for basic/common automations). You provide us a specification for your automations and we create them for you.
This itself has advantages and disadvantages. The first advantage is that our Bullhorn API experts have extensive knowledge of the API and fields, meaning that we can achieve pretty much anything. There is a lot that our automations can achieve that Herefish is not yet capable of.
Having us create the automations for you takes away the worry that you have set it up wrong. There’s nothing worse than that feeling when you realise you messed up, maybe you updated all of your records with wrong values or even worse, deleted a whole stack of data. We thoroughly test our automations and will also help you spec the automation if needed.

Which Bullhorn Automation Tool is Best?
Both tools are awesome, which you should choose depends on your own requirements. For some automations, the ability to log in to the Herefish online interface, create the automation and set it running will be a huge draw.
If you have a more ‘interesting’ automation and don’t mind a 5 day set up period, our tools will be better suited.
Our advice is to contact both, work out which can achieve your end result and weigh up the cost to achieve this.
