Isn’t it crazy that another year has flown by? These last 12 months have thrown many challenges at us all but we made it through and are stronger because of it.
So what have we been up to in 2021?
The Bullhorn API threw several huge updates our way this year which we reacted to quickly and updated the plugin. The first was regarding the API * syntax, which was removed from the Bullhorn REST API. This was a huge change to the way our plugin worked and meant that all customers of our plugin would be affected. We firstly contacted our customers to inform them of the upcoming change and the necessity to upgrade their plugin version. The team got cracking changing the Bullhorn to WordPress plugin to reflect this change and once done, tested and tested again, we contacted our customers again to inform them.
Another big API change happened this year, the introduction of API usage spike management. Our plugin communicates with Bullhorn to synchronise the data between your WordPress website and Bullhorn. The API update meant that each time we performed a synchronisation, the API would notice this and lock out the script, which in turn prevented the WordPress data from updating. We wrote some nifty scripts to recognise this new API error, pause momentarily and then continue with synchronisation. This works brilliantly and again was rolled out to out customers as they moved over to the new API version.
Along with the above, we continued to integrate our new customers, support existing customers and further develop our Bullhorn to WordPress plugin to ensure it is the fastest and most feature rich plugin available.
But there’s more, this year we have also been building upon our Bullhorn Automations, creating more and more automations that span across all Bullhorn entities. Whether you want to send out automated emails or text messages, or add tasks directly within Bullhorn, our Bullhorn Automations tool has you covered.
What do we have planned for 2022?
Lots. Ok Ok, I’ll provide a little more info. Our automations are a big focus and we will continue to build and improve upon those. The automations currently available are only the tip of the iceberg, we have big plans for this area of the business.
Our Bullhorn Plugin will also receive more features next year, including built in Job Alerts and Geo location search facility.
We also aim to set up a dedicated support team, our customers across the globe deserve a dedicated line focussed solely upon existing customer support. Usually once a project is live, our Plugin and scripts continue to work happily in the background, however being the forward thinking recruiters that you are, existing customers come back asking us to add another feature, change some fields or even take over management of the main website.
Who would have known 10 years ago when we first developed software integrating with Bullhorn that we would be where we are now. It’s been an incredible journey and the exciting part is only beginning…
